Helena Kennedy is the California Professional Nutrition Education and Training (Cal-Pro-NET) Center Coordinator at Fresno City College. Prior to working for Cal-Pro-NET, Helena served as Reedley College Food Service Manager for 6 1/2 years.

Helena received her B.S. degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Concepcion in her native Chile and received her M.S. degree from the University of Chile. She attended Fresno State University and completed a dietetic internship program at Fresno Community Hospital to become a registered dietitian. She managed the Chilean national lunch program in major metropolitan areas and served as a food service manager for Marriott Corp. in Chile before moving to the United States in 1984. She served as a senior nutrition program nutrition educator, WIC nutritionist, consultant, food service director and college instructor before joining the Fresno City Cal-Pro-NET Center in 1998.

In her current position, Helena works closely with the California Department of Education, Nutrition Services Division to administer and implement contracts for the development of curriculum and the implementation of training workshops for child nutrition personnel throughout the state of California.
